The patient with newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation Type 2 diabetes/impaired glucose tolerance.Risk factors, disease associations and potentially reversible precipitants for atrial fibrillation 8,10 In light of these findings, the National Heart Foundation of Australia’s (NHFA’s) 2018 AF guidelines recommend aerobic exercise and a target body mass index of 27 kg/m 2 in patients with AF. 9 Once AF has been diagnosed, weight loss and aerobic activity have been shown to decrease both the number of AF episodes and symptoms related to AF. 6–8 A number of studies have investigated whether the risk of developing AF can be reduced with exercise the majority suggest that moderate physical activity is beneficial in reducing AF risk. It is important to note that metabolic syndrome and several of its modifiable constituents (abdominal obesity, hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance/type 2 diabetes) are strongly associated with AF. Table 1 lists the most clinically relevant risk factors and disease associations for AF. Risk factors for, and lifestyle management of, atrial fibrillation Given AF’s varying clinical manifestations, the aim of this article is to distil management concepts into practical recommendations that are useful in general practice. 1–3 The prevalence of AF is estimated to be 2–4% in developed countries 1,4 and increases with age, but this only reflects clinically detected AF the true prevalence of AF is suspected to be greater when subclinical or ‘silent’ AF is included. 1,2 AF is independently associated with stroke, heart failure and all-cause death. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common recurrent arrhythmia in adult clinical practice and is associated with significant morbidity and mortality.

The Crew is the closest thing to TDU (and was made by some TDU vets I believe) but it was dressed up in a poor mans NFS clothing that dragged the whole experience down and thus never came close to the TDU games for me personally.īut anywho, TDU3's been lowkey confirmed for years if I recall but last time I heard about it I think it was being made by another team so I wonder if it's changed dev team since? I guess at this point it's going to be next-gen though, which I'm all for at this point, TDU3 releasing earlyish next-gen sounds to me. Horizon has this to an extent but the map is too small for it to really nail the feeling and the magic TDU had, where you could drive for hours without touching the same road twice. Couldn't give a rats arse about racing in the TDU games, what I loved to do and what the majority of the community did was just cruise about unlocking roads, exploring, chilling out. In many ways Forza Horizon did improve the formula but in one huge and so important Horizon never captured the same magic TDU had way it didn't - the size of the map. I have no idea how things will change without Atari tho. A place I'd love to go to in a game like this is Japan: amazing roads to drive on, beautiful scenary and an interesting car culture, specially from the 90s, but offroading would probably be hard to do because it's a very mountanous place.Īs for the Horizon comparassions, if they keep the huge map and lots of stuff to buy, it will be a huge marketing point, specially against Horizon. As for the locations, the maps of Oahu and Ibiza assets are too old to be reused, so they'll probably come up with something new. You are not likely to run out of road soon, and if you do there's a bunch of offroading to do.Īnd yeah, big maps and many houses to buy are a must at this point. Not familiar with TDU, but TDU2 was a very fun game to just cruise around and explore. Would like to see the house acquisitions again and IRRC there was a casino? But that could have been DLC. Cruising in TDU 2 was fun even if just down a highway, testing a car's abilities. What I would like to see return is the big maps, plenty of long open roads to get top speeds on. Not sure how this will be now that it's not an Atari game. I'm not familiar with the first TDU but I loved TDU 2, even if they fecked up the driving mechanics. Horizon kind of took over from TDU's model and improved upon it. Yeah it's going to be really hard to compete with Forza Horizon. Overall, we enjoyed the game a great deal. Some of the puzzles were unique and memorable and I enjoyed them. The game had a decent story to gameplay connection and while we had some searching to do it wasn't too much. We did manage to get out but you really have to move along if you only have 2 people. Those folders can then contain sub-folders, and your data will start to shape based on the structure you decide to use. In Notion, you’ll have a Workspace where you can create various folders to track your important data. Notion and Obsidian structure things entirely differently. Obsidian also stores notes in markdown, meaning that the data can be read and viewed by applications other than Obsidian which is a huge benefit. Using a shared folder location allows you to access the vault from multiple locations which will function similarly to a cloud solution, but with enhanced security. One of the biggest benefits of Obsidian is that it’s a local solution, meaning that you create a vault that can be linked to an individual folder on a PC or Mac, or on a shared device like a NAS. It’s designed to help you make and maintain a “second brain” – a network of interlinked information that can help you think, learn, and create. Obsidian is a knowledge management and note-taking application that allows you to link and tag notes without using a folder system (though you can if you’d like). This allows you to create a “system”, by creating items that link to one another and track important data. The user interface allows you to create pages that contain sub-items, or simply link around pages, lists, calendars, and more. One of the biggest benefits of Notion is its overall flexibility. Users can connect different components together to create various types of systems. The possibilities in terms of what you can use Notion for are endless due to the way it functions. Notion is a popular productivity application that allows users to create notes, databases, kanban boards, wikis, calendars, reminders, and more. Privacy and Accessibility for Notion and Obsidian.Customization & Plugins for Obsidian or Notion.Accessing your Data in Notion and Obsidian.Folders and Notes in Notion and Obsidian. Here, I have added a small video clip to illustrate, how you could create a linked database. The main advantage of having a linked database table inside a new page is that once you start reading more papers and start updating your master literature table, your linked database also automatically update itself if you tag it with specific keywords.įor example, say in future I start reading more accident-related literature and added them to my master literature table with accident keyword, then it would also reflect inside other pages where I have linked that master literature table with accident filter. By using old fashioned tricks you could not leverage the potential of linked database. This could be one option but very traditional. The obvious question would be why not filtering and reading out from our master literature table. In this way, one could create separate study tables on different pages using a linked database. You could create a new page in Notion and call your master literature table there and filter out articles based on your keywords/tags. So, rather skimming through your 100 of literature you entered in the master literature table. Earlier, during the literature review, you had tagged all your accident-related articles (read) in the master literature table. Say, you planned to write an article regarding worldwide road accidents statistics. I could call this table from any new page and filter out the table articles based on keywords/tags. For example, I have created a master literature table and tagged each journal with meaningful keywords (see the above figure’s Tags column). One of the best features of Notion is that you can create sub-table using linked database feature. So let me demonstrate how you could also manage your literature/research smoothly.Īrticle 1 page’s body Creating a Linked Database I recently started using Notion for managing my research work. Now, in the era of digital note-taking, there are plenty of candidate apps you could find on the internet. If your literature is not well managed it could cause a big headache during article or thesis write-up. Those who are in the academic field definitely knew about the headache of managing literature. I work in the field of pedestrian safety. student at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (Department of Civil Engineering). I am a Transportation System Engineering Ph.D. I believe Evernote is still good for many users because it is mature and well developed but the Notion application is one step ahead of every other competitor. From the past 3 years, I have been an Evernote user but I did not like the rigid folder structure where one could only able to create a sub-level notebook. Yes, you guessed it, this is a note-taking app and I really like the flexibility this application offers. Recently, I have started using a beautiful app called Notion. An Introduction to Notion Note-taking Application for Research. The 23,688-square-foot house has six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms.
